My name is Nedda Angelina Shishegar! I was born on October 31, 1983. I live in Southern California and am currently an art major at California State University Channel Islands. I have had an interest in drawing since childhood. I enjoyed drawing things from all my grade school projects, doodling my favorite cartoon characters, and pet frogs and cats. Fantasy has always been my biggest influence, so that is why it is common theme in my artwork. (and also influenced my career as a Fantasy Artist). In mid 2002, I created an online art gallery at faerieprints.com, and decided to continue to pursue my career as a fantasy artist.

    The mediums I use include watercolors, graphite pencils, inks, markers, pastels and acrylic paints.
    
I am inspired by all of my surroundings including family, friends, my cats, my friend Morgan, Björk, Tori Amos and other musical artists, children’s books and fairy tales, my other talented artist friends(mostly the amazing Liselotte Eriksson!), and of course, NATURE! (which plays the biggest part!)
     Why do I like to draw fantasy? Because there are no limits, and no right or wrong. It's based on your imagination, and no one can tell you that it doesn't exist.

   My other passion is creating jewelry! You can see my jewelry at EnchantedLeaves.com. I first began making jewelry in 2003 when I realized the lack of faerie-esque jewelry to wear.  Nature’s raw beauty is my jewelry design inspiration. I specialize in designs with leaves, and other natural items with the thought in mind: "What would a Faerie really wear?".
